Digital interaction is one of the most important elements in eLearning as it forms the base for an engaging and user-friendly courseware. However, designing meaningful interactions can seem a bit challenging for Instructional Designers (IDs) at times as not all types of content work harmoniously with interactive elements.
To help IDs understand and overcome this challenge, Upside Learning has planned a free webinar titled ‘The Design of Interaction for eLearning’. Scheduled on 4th December at 3.30 PM (GMT) and 5th December at 11.00 AM (IST), the webinar will be presented by Abhijit Kadle, AVP of Learning Design at Upside Learning.
Abhijit is a recognised name in the eLearning ID circles, and has been active in the field of digital learning design for the past 12+ years. Through this webinar he aims to explore various types of content as defined by Dr. David Merrill, a well known instructional effectiveness consultant, and determine which of those content types lend themselves to digital interaction. In addition, a case study involving the design of an interaction for a specific type of content will also be presented along with the do’s and don’ts.
The webinar caters to people practicing instructional design, developers of instructional materials and individuals involved in management of eLearning content development projects. Users can expect to get a thorough understanding on how the design elements co-exist with various content types in different environments and will successfully be able to identify parts of content amenable to interaction.
