Upside Learning wins Brandon Hall Group Excellence Award

Upside Learning’s expertise in developing custom content and engaging learning solutions that deliver real outcomes to help organizations achieve performance improvements aligned with business objectives has been recognized by the win at this year’s Brandon Hall Group’s Human Capital Management Excellence awards.

This year’s winning entry under the Learning and Development category were submitted jointly by Upside Learning and New York State Psychiatric Institute. The details of the award is as below:

Best Advance in Custom Content:

Bronze: The Shared decision making (SDM) module is developed for behavioral healthcare providers to increase their knowledge about SDM and to encourage its use. Shared decision making (SDM) is an evidence-based practice that involves individuals receiving care and their healthcare providers working together to make important decisions about clinical care. It is a process in which clinicians and individuals receiving care work together to make decisions and select tests, treatments, and care plans based on clinical evidence that balances risks and expected outcomes with patient preferences and values. This approach is often underutilized in healthcare specifically. Anticipated outcomes include increased knowledge about the use of SDM, which in turn will lead to patients’ increased commitment to their care. This course uses an innovative, mind map-style framework, role play examples, character illustrations, infographics, to model to the students how SDM should be implemented.

On this win Amit Garg Co-founder & Director – Custom Learning Solutions said “It’s a moment of pride for us to win this year’s Brandon Hall. It is feels great to be recognized for our expertise in developing high-quality custom content that delivers business impact for our customers. Upside Learning Answers Audience Questions For Its ‘eLearning On Tablets – What, Why & How?’ Webinars

‘What tools are available to convert existing Flash content to HTML5?’ ‘Would you recommend a different instructional approach for content to be seen on a PC and that for a tablet?’ ‘What is the status of HTML5 today?’ These are just few of the many questions that were posed by the attendees of ‘eLearning on Tablets – What, Why & How?’ webinars conducted by Upside Learning on 27th and 28th August. The company has now released a consolidated list of these questions along with their answers.

The 60–minute webinars, presented by Amit Garg, Director and Co–founder, Upside Learning, and Alan Samuel, Director Client Solutions (Europe), Upside Learning, focused on the ‘whats, whys and hows’ of eLearning on tablets. They covered everything from the basics to the advanced technical considerations to be kept in mind while designing for tablets. Given the nature and newness of the topic, the queries were many. While Upside Learning’s experts tried answering most of them during the course of the webinars itself, some went unanswered due to the time constraints. So in the interest of the attendees and also others who missed these webinar, Upside Learning has compiled and released all the questions and answers on its blog.

The Q&As along with the webinar recording can be accessed here: https://blog.upsidelearning.com/2013/09/04/elearning-on-tablets-what-why-how-webinar-recording-and-qa/
